IAFF Burn Foundation

The
IAFF Burn Foundation sponsors the Annual the International Burn Camp which is
held in Washington, D.C. Children, ages 13-15, who attend the International Burn
Camp have also attended a regional or state burn camp. These children, along
with a professional firefighter, are then nominated to attend the IAFF Burn
Camp by their local burn camp.
This
year IAFF Local 1071’s own Lt. Allyn Borrino, E-13 G-2, has been nominated and
selected to attend the International Burn Camp by the Finger Lakes Regional
Burn Association. On September 22, 2012, Lt. Al Borrino will accompany one of
the male juvenile burn survivors from the February 18, 2012 fatal fire at 82
Grape Street to Washington, D.C. for the weeklong camp.

research and improving the quality of life for burn survivors. Created in 1982,
the Burn Foundation is one of the largest sources for burn research grants and
the sponsor of the annual IAFF Burn Foundation's International Burn Camp, held
each fall in Washington, DC.
The
IAFF Burn Foundation is funded solely by the generous support and contributions
received from concerned citizens, organizations and businesses. To make a tax
