Quint and Midi 8

Quint 8 operates 1995 E-One 95-foot platform with a 1500 gpm Hale pump and 300-gallon booster tank.  Reserve Midi 8 responds with a 1992 GMC Top Kick/Beck with a 1000 gpm Hale pump and 500-gallon booster tank.  Their seven-bay firehouse, nicknamed the Cow Palace, is located at 272 Allen Street on the western edge of downtown, was built in 1955 to house Engine 3, Engine 4, Truck 10, Battalion 2, and Battalion 4.

Currently, it quarters Quint & Midi 8, Engine 13 (Engine 13's previous quarters located at 640 South Plymouth Avenue was closed March of 2006 due to unsafe building conditions), Battalion 2, the group Safety Officer (Car 99), and the Fire Department Radio Repair Shop.  Quint 8’s district includes Frontier Field, home of the AAA-level Rochester Red Wings baseball team, the headquarters for Eastman Kodak, and the High Falls entertainment district.

As of July 1st 2008, Midi 8 was taken out of service due to a new Rochester Fire Department four year restructure plan.  Subsequently, Quint 8 is now to be referred to as "Truck 10".
