Quint/Midi 3 are located at 1261 South Ave in the neighborhood known as the South Wedge.  Their district includes Highland Park, Mt. Hope Cemetery, Highland Hospital, Strong Memorial Hospital, Monroe Community Hospital, and the Rochester Psychiatric Center.  Quint 3 responds with a 1992 E-One Hurricane with a 110-foot aerial, 1500 gpm Hale pump, and 300-gallon booster tank (Old Q3).  Midi 3 is assigned a 1997 Ford/E-One with a 1000 gpm Hale pump and 500-gallon booster tank.  Quint/Midi 3 were organized in the former quarters of Engine 8 and Truck 7 in September, 1983.

As of October 1st 2009, Midi 3 was taken out of service due to a new Rochester Fire Department four year restructure plan.  Subsequently, Quint 3 is now to be referred to as "Truck 3", and an engine was created to run out of the South Avenue Firehouse along with Truck 3.  This engine is to be referred to as "Engine 8".
