Engine 16 operates a 1994 E-One Hush pumper with a 1250 gpm Hale pump and a 500-gallon booster tank.  Engine 16 is the busiest company in the city, and is located in a turn-of-the-century firehouse at 704 Hudson Ave along with Battalion Chief 1.  Their district is a densely populated, predominantly residential area, with many 1¹/₂-story houses on narrow streets.
